Weddings And Ceremonies

At the Lord Hill Hotel, we cater for everything from small and intimate ceremonies to the traditional big white wedding. Whatever you choose to make of your special day, rest assured, we’ll take care of every last detail to make it stress free, fun filled and entirely unforgettable.

All our packages include:
•    A dedicated wedding coordinator to assist in your special day

•    A dedicated Manager to act as Master of Ceremonies and guide you throughout the formalities

•    Complimentary Bedroom for the Bride & Groom including a full English Breakfast (This only applies for those having both a day and evening function)

Civil Ceremonies / Partnerships & Function Suites

The Lord Hill now has the ‘Whole Package’. Why not start with a Civil Ceremony / Partnerships in one of our 3 licensed function rooms followed by a walk into the picturesque gardens, available for our use on the weekends, to create scenic photos to last a lifetime. Enjoy a glass of bubbly or our unique strawberry cocktail to kick start your reception, before settling into one of our many function suites for a delicious meal.
The light and airy Conservatory restaurant is located in the main hotel and is ideal for the intimate wedding breakfast before moving through to The Rowland Suite to continue the celebrations for the evening reception for up to 120 of your closest family and friends. The Rowland Suite has its own dance floor and use of the Rowlys bar and lounge
At the back of the Hotel with its own separate entrance, facilities & bar is the Regency Suite. This is the largest of our function rooms catering for anything from 80 for a wedding breakfast and up to 320 for an evening reception, with a large stage and plenty of space for a Band & disco.

Wedding Breakfast Menu

At the Lord Hill Hotel, we allow you to design your own wedding reception package to suit your individual requirements. It must be based on a starter, main course and dessert option. Coffee is optional. To create your own menu, simply select up to 3 choices for each course. The Lord Hill Hotel will then provide menu choice forms for inclusion in with your invites. Your guests can then pre-order their meal for your Wedding. If you do wish to have a choice menu, a charge of £3.50 per person will be applicable. We would be delighted to discuss all your catering requirements to ensure the meals served during your special day are exactly what you require.
Dietary requirements can be catered for, please speak to the Wedding Co-ordinator for further details.

If you fancy something different…

The Lord Hill’s Traditional Hot Roast Pork Bap £12.95 per person

Roasted Leg of Pork carved from the table, with homemade sage & onion seasoning & apple sauce, served in a floured bap. Accompanied with, Homemade Coleslaw, Tomato & Onion Salad, Mixed Leaves, Pickles & Mustards, Spicy Potato Wedges.

Confirmation of Payments

Once you have chosen your desired wedding date, we can hold a provisional reservation for 4 weeks. To confirm your booking we require a £450.00 non-refundable deposit. Cheques should be made payable to ‘The Lord Hill Hotel’ or alternatively please speak to the Wedding Co-ordinator regarding credit card or cash payment.

Six months prior to your Wedding Day, a further £450.00 is required. Please note that this is the second instalment and also non-refundable.

Please contact the Wedding Co-ordinator 6-8 weeks prior to your function to discuss menus. Final numbers are required a fortnight in advance. The figure given at this stage will be charged for. No refunds will be given for reducing numbers after two weeks prior.

Gratuities are entirely at the discretion of the client.

Cancellations

In the unlikely event of cancellation the following charges will be incurred:
From 1 to 7 days notice        100%
From 8 to 30 days notice        75%
From 30 to 60 days notice        50%
From 61 to 90 days notice        25%
All of the above cancellation charges will be based on your final estimated bill.


Damage to Hotel Property

The hirer shall pay for any loss or damage to any part of the Hotel premises, or to any fixtures or fitting which are caused by the hirer or their guests

Bridal Suite’s

A complimentary Bridal Suite is offered for those couples who have a day and night function at the hotel. If you would like to upgrade to the luxurious Abbey Suite, a charge of £60.00 would be applicable

Guest Accommodation

For your guests a preferential rate applies:
Single Room        £60.00
Double/ Twin Room    £70.00
Rates are per room, per night inclusive of Full English Breakfast, service & VAT. Guest confirmation of bookings is required by a credit or debit card number. No payment will be debited at this stage.
On arrival to the hotel, a standard pre-authorisation check on a payment card will be necessary to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfil the transaction. No payment is debited from the card during this pre-authorisation check. Cards will only be charged on departure.
If extra beds or cots are required £10.00 per bed, per night will be charged.
Additional breakfasts will be charged at £9.00 for a full English breakfast or £5.00 for Continental.
Our cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to arrival. Check-In time is from 3.00pm.
Please contact us for any special requirements. Check-Out is by 11.00am on the morning of departure.
